I see they NOW have a website, they didn't then. I did searches at the time and trust me, I am a pretty good searcher. Unfortunately there are many scams out there and some very good scammers. We do try to look out for each other despite the fact that this is a very big forum. BTW, welcome.

Rescue program's are a great way to help and in no mean do I want to bring them down! They've helped many horses! But when something like this pops, us one has to wonder about it. Scam or not; to delete or not to delete. Good intentions or not from people can be miss read or misleading from very simple things! THOUGH it's great to hear that this place is true, and that although help was delayed it was surved to the need! | |

i understand. i know no one meant to hurt anyone. i just wanted to clear the air and remind everyone that eventhough we live in a crazy world where people can do terrible things, we shouldn't always be so quick to judge. i have looked through this site extensively and i think it's great. thank you for hearing me out, and know that i will always provide the same respect to my fellow animal lovers!

I must say though that their website still needs a LOT of work. The only writing on it is this. Dear Ones, The meaning of the mission we are on for God is without a doubt the most exciting and wonderful task I've ever set my hands to do... Since we were 15 my husband and myself were given visions of the assignment we are now a part of, people and horses, the Arabian Horse much loved and cherished here at the Free Spirit Ranch and setting the captives free! God is using the Free Spirit Arabian Horse Sanctuary to FREE people from a religious spirit and to set the captives FREE and to undo the heavy burdens, to loose the bands of wickedness and to let the oppressed go FREE, that we break every yolk of ******* by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, what God offered us 2000 years ago is salvation by the blood of Jesus, total divine health, financial, emotional and spiritual freedom. Let us give you the invitation to come as you are and experience and encounter Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as you never have before and bring the Arabian horses home to the Free Spirit Arabian Horse Sanctuary! Blessings on your house and all that you do, Pat Montes Thank you tremendously for taking the time to visit the sanctuary online. We are taking our God given talents and placing our lives in God's hands as he leads us through this amazing adventure with Arabian horses and his wonderful people. We have been called to minister to the widows, orphans, inner-city families, school children, the disabled and the hungry and poor in spirit. Using the Arabian horses gifted to the sanctuary God has been able to change the hearts and minds of visitors who free themselves from the cares of this world and share with one another fellowship and a caring word. All the horses are given the chance to roam and be free when not in the riding program, the 40 acres are for their peace and quiet grazing away from the program schedules at the 80 acre learning center and recreational site. We maximize every day and pray for the guidance so important for a ministry with such vast plans. With the growing need for an outlet from the inner-city gangs and the everyday stresses of city life we are finding God's ranch setting to be a haven to all who seek her. It gives us pleasure to welcome you, and how may we help you today? Please enjoy a look inside, it's not a complete picture because we are growing everyday There is no mention of how the horses are kept, what they actually do, no photos of horses. No photos of horses being used. Information on their site would probably inspire people to have more faith in them. Obviously your manager was not able to find much to support their claims of being a rescue organisation to have delayed assistance.

Sorry, a page that did not come up before came up this time. It reads. For those of you who don’t know us, we are dedicated to the preservation of Arabian Horse. Our passion is to give a forever home to Arabian Horses that have outlasted their usefulness for their owners and are looking for a natural way of life among a herd of other Arabians of like mind. We are currently home to 14 registered Arabian horses and we are so happy to be a part of their everyday life. And what beautiful horses they are too. EA Marquessa is a 1985 grey mare a great-granddaughter of Ferzon and Azraff. She is a mare with a lovely head and a wonderful commanding spirit! She had been a youth horse for a sweet little lady for 9 years who has recently changed partnersand is successfully running barrels in rodeos now - Good Luck Melanie!! Along came a couple of very lovely mares by way of the Cox family. Our very stunning CW Mon Cherie is a bay mare a great-granddaughter of the uncomparable Khemosabi and Bey Shay, Bask and WitezII for the incredible speed she has passed down to her foal Fire’s Fantasy by Unquestionably Hot!Both mares are charming the people who visit The Free Spirit Ranch. Thank you Lori, Stacy and Mark! Our next beauty is Saamteza a grey 1989 mare by racing legend Saam, also included are Sambor, Witezar and Ferzon. Saamteza better known to us as Karuna, is a jewel! She let’s our 8 year old son ride her and is so kind to his beginner needs, yet can easily take us flying through the desert sands at great speeds! Karuna has done it all!! From an endurance race covered by the press awarding her front page publicity to horseshows, where blue ribbons abounded for her and cattle droving, she’s a dream!!Thank you Nicola, she is truly from God!! Our Next fasinating Arabian is Prince Omar Abu Jabbah, a chestnut stallion and 2001 grandson to the imported black Egyptian stallion Adhem and The Real McCoy, Raseyn and the "Father Of Chestnuts" Abu Farwa. The sweet disposition and love of people was what first caught our hearts, but one look at his beautiful confirmation and those flaring nostrils that Drink The Wind with every stride, he is truly what God had in mind when he made the Arabian Horse!!Tina, thank you for the blessing of Omar to The Free Spirit Ranch. Our hearts have gone out to another dear horse called Buddy, he is a 1986 grey gelding who is the strong silent type! His previous owner Mark worked at Pegasus for the riding program there and bought Buddy 14 years ago, today he lives with Karuna along side Marquessa. He has joyfully taken me to pick up my groceries and mail and takes us on very brisk rides through the desert, what a horse!!Thanks to Mark and his mom for gifting Buddy to the Free Spirit Ranch. Next is a new arrival, Corrida a grey 1983 mare dressed so lovely with her 18" long mane and flowing tail, Corrida is a triple Raffles mare, and what a girl!! She especially enjoys being ridden under english saddle and taken anywhere, we go to the mailbox and when I tie her out back she talks to me when I ask how she is doing, she is the favorite among the young novice riders. She has been shown and loved by one wonderful lady and their family for her entire life and I know that Corrida feels right at home ... her favorite snack is grapes!! Thank you Becky for entrusting us with your mare!! There is always room for babies and Sheitan is also on the new arrivals list, he is our son Jon’s horse an unbelievable Spanish/Egyptian black 2006 colt with a white mark on his forehead. I have started taking him for walks and he likes his grain served anyway he can get it! The Spanish Arabian Horse *Oral (Garbo x Jacerina) Beauty is also a brother to Es Dos Equis. There will be more on Sheitan later as he matures, he is only 7 Months old, now living right off the front porch with us along side Mon Cherie and Fire’s Fantasy!Thank you Micheal and wife Jonine!! This morning will bring the building of another paddock as two more arrivals are due to come aboard in a late afternoon hour. *Fatimar 27, the lovely unforgettable grey Premier mare imported from Holland when she was 3 (Plakat x Chantal). And Parilier 20 (*Gondolier x *Paridaa - by Faridaa (to Bandos). Thank you Fran for your trust with such precious cargo! Well you have seen for yourself that The Free Spirit Arabian Horse Ranch and Sanctuary is busy preserving these wonderful bloodlines for all time and the list of horses goes on! There is Apollo, Tsebel, Patriot's Boo and Sarah are all new arrivals from this July and August. We are convinced that there needs to be a place where the Arabian breeder and fancier can turn when the time comes for downsizing, redirection or any number of other various life-changing events effecting the outcome and the safety of their Arabian Horses, we are that place that cares and treasures the gift God so blessed us with, The Arabian Horse! Please call anytime for any question you might have after reading about us and the programs that we have in place, Camp Have A Blast is a riding program/learning recreational center setting up for widows and orphans and inner-city families to come and learn about the Arabian Horse and expebrience a day on the ranch. We have put a down payment on an 80 acre parcel and a 40 acre parcel we intend to develop in Battle Mountain, Nevada. It is vital for the herd to be moved in August so we are asking for contributions from everyone who can help. We have outgrown our rental property because the horse limit has been exceeded and our service is growing daily and we don’t turn Arabians away from our program. Two horses arrived last week and another due on the 29th. Together we can do this, thank you. Rob, Pat and Jon Montes. I don't know that I personally agree with keeping stallions stallions, especially when there are so many horses needing rescuing.

it may be an old thread, but the horses are in a jam and we're trying to put a stop to this. Evidently the arabs aren't the first time around - last time it was thoroughbreds.
