My dad won't allow me to use Ebay because of the fees. :/

Do livestock/horse auctions sometimes auction tack? Gah I hate being cheap.

Really? Oh. He just said there were fees and that we can't do it. I'll see. Thanks! I've seen some really nice saddles there.

I would seriously look into getting a used saddle. These cheap starter saddles that you find are less likely to fit your horse well, and may cause pain to both you and the horse. I wouldn't get this one, you'll regret it.

To answer your question, no... the tree of one brand of saddle will most likely be diferent than the tree of another. The best way to do it is just try them out.

Good luck on your search!

I bought it. I got a discount so it turned out at $237.50. If nothing else, I can at the very least share knowledge about the quality of this company's products. My barn owner was looking into a few there too. I usually ride a 15" but they didn't have that saddle in 15 and I could find one with FQHB and the right seat but the price was too high or I could find the right seat and price but the wrong bars! So I just went ahead and ordered a 16". Hopefully it won't be too big for me. Hopefully it's as pretty as the picture, too!

I'll post pictures of it on my horse when it arrives. And the verdict on the company's saddles. If it sucks, I can get my money back.

Good luck with the saddle. I hope the fit and quality are what you are hoping for. If not and you have to return it, take a look at these companies. All three offer new saddles, made in the USA using American cowhide leather (not Asian imports) and all three offer fitting services. RB also has free shipping.

Thanks for the recommendations. I like some of their other tack (especially Riders Choice) but none of the saddles really have what I want that fit in my budget.

Who knows, I could be getting a good deal on a nice training saddle or I could be getting a piece of crud. It should be here Monday.
