We used to use one on our 4-H llamas...they work wonders. The one we had was REALLY powerful...had to stand like 3 feet back even with all that llama wool

If you're wanting both, it will work ok. If you're wanting it for the Vac part, pay the bucks and get one from Electric Cleaner. (The little blue portables or the bigger box "home" model). They're far superior in build and power to the Vac N Blow.

I bought a small Dirt Devil hand held with a hose, works just as well and a whole lot cheaper. May be a little bit more noisy, though.

I have a huge expensive one my parents gave me that we have had for 20 years, and it is quiet and such, the hose freaks my horse out, it is pathetic. Can't get him over the fact it isn't gonna kill him!

I used my vac and blow and loved it. Tried it on every horse in the barn(arabian show barn) and none gave any problems with it. I did wish I had one with a bigger bag. It worked best for me when I would use a rubber curry (grooma groomer) then vacuum then brush the loose dust with a soft brush. In the winter it really gets the scurf out better than anything else. I wish I hadn't sold it when I sold that horse!

We have one at the barn I board at and some of the boarders love it. I haven't used it yet because it's loud, I didn't want to scare him with the noise. I've only owned him for 5 months. Now that he is more relaxed, I'll probably try it out. One thing though, when it's being used sometimes it smells like something is burning.

The Metro Vac N Blow is better then nothing, but the vac part isn't as strong as I was hoping for... It is just a dog airforce blower with a vac bag attachment... I'm currently saving my $$$ for the Electrolux Electro Groom large size, it REALLY pulls the dirt out of the coat and skin and is QUIET. I don't need the blower function as I have to forced air dog blowers for my dog showing and grooming I can and do use on the horses.
