awwww.....poor Spook. He looks so scared! I sincerely hope he is shown tons of love and care, and will be able to overcome his mental wounds.

the other two horses are perfectly fine. like i said they were pushing him off the food meaning they were getting hes portion too but thats ok he doesnt have to fight for food any more. i cant wait to have him vet checked. once he clears her tests i can REintroduce him to my other 2 horses. yes i said reintroduce as i used to board my 2 the same place he was but decided that they need a bigger pasture

Good luck with him - he deserves the very best in life now. Poor little guy. I can't wait to see the improvement in him in a few months time. How much did she charge for him (or did she just want him gone?) - sorry to be nosey, I'm just curious as to whether someone could try to justify charging for something they've reduced to that state. He's going to be gorgeous when he's all fit and well.

I paid $100 for him which is really high considering if he were to go to auction they would have paid about $35 as horses are selling dirt cheap. but i fell in love with him from the first time i saw him. and in the end he will be worth 10 x what i paid. well in my mind anyway. besides you cant put a price on love now can you?? dont worry it didnt put me out any money as i have a savings account for my horses well its supposed to be for supllies but thats ok. im just so happy that i have him now and he is safe.

I understand what you mean - I paid way over the odds for my mare at the time, but I had fallen in love so to me she was worth every penny. She is now worth more than I paid, but I will never sell her.

well lets see copper was my first horse that i have owned that was mine all mine. lol i paid more for him then i should have. i bought him at 5 mths in age and hes now 4 yrs but ud never know it. my 7 yr old niece was riding him by her self wen he was 2. he was originally backed and ridden by a 10 yr old. and then there is tippy we definatly paid way too much for her but now ud never know she had a bad start. but again we fell in love with her and now i dont care what the price offer is made i couldnt sell any of the 3. then there is my aunts 22 yr old pony shes had him from birth and we just had to retire him due to bone cancer in his knee. but hes still happy healthy and able to put other horses thru the fence so hes gonna stay around till he tells us hes ready to quit.

Aww poor guy, What is wrong with his old owner, to let him get in such a bad condition! Bless you for taking him, I am sure that he will soon start to look better, and by summer we won't recognize him (except for his eyes) I am glad you got him out of there....Cathy

What a cutie. I think with some TLC he will turn out beautiful. I love his eyes. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on his progress. I bet once it warms up and he looses his winter wully there is a beautiful horse under all that hair and dirt.
