Hmm. I don't see quarter in her at all. She either looks thoroughbred or standardbred to me. Probably wrong though. Love her face!

yea most of the horses we've owned were abused or neglected I love the challenge of trying to turn them around. We had a poa pony mare when we lived in California who looked every bit of 20 yrs. old.We got her from an auction for $325.00 and named her golden moon because was a golden misty color with almost paintish splotches and spots you could'nt see unless wet.Goldie was severely thin and I mean I did'nt think she'd it make more than a few days. Her feet were in terrible shape overgrown and very sore, she almost took my head off checking them, they hurt so bad. After 1 yr. of good feeding , hoofwork, and me singing to her whenever I worked with her(Goldie just seemed to really respond and love that)she was a completly different pony both inside and out.Come to find out she was only a 5yr.old and I shutter to think if we had'nt snatched her when we did, she probably would have went to slaughter in her condition. When we got threw with her anybody could ride her bareback with just a halter and lead rope. Goldie was also an absolute natural with children, so very carefull of them.Anyway to make a long story short, we sold her to a 12yr. old girl who absolutely fell in love with her and was going to compete with her in Gymkana.Don't you just love happy endings?
