Thanks! I've only ridden in it about half a dozen times, it isn't near broken in yet.

Thank you! It *is* nice, and wide. And pretty affordable too.

@ crayon -- don't know if this helps you at all, but I did the "Degree Method" measurement on this saddle and it came out to 102 degrees, which I thought was pretty flat. Thornhill makes several close contact models too (which actually have flatter rear panels as well), if you wanted to look into those. I rode in the Sterling model when we were trying saddles on Partner, for a CC saddle it felt very nice, but it didn't fit him as well as the Berlin. (and CC is not my cup of tea anymore either )

Thanks. I'll have to get around to measuring the degree of my current saddle.

eeeeek
that tree looks really twisted...
Hopefully its not, but you should try to get some new straight fron and back shots to ensure that it is represented accurately.

To Buck:

Do you find that the Dominus seems to run wide for a medium tree? It looks wide, so I am curious.

It looks hard to tell because of what it was put on.

Are you refering to my twisted comment, or the medium tree comment?

I can see how it would be applicable to either.

I was referring to the twisted tree comment. lol. But I guess now that you think about it, I was wondering about the Dominus too. Maybe the panels are a anice wide angle and the pommel gets wider with a wider tree? (That's basically what I need. lol.)

This is my Collegiate Alumnus

Here is the tree angle that I'm looking for in a saddle:

I just need the pommel to be a little wider and hopefully higher. (pommel is 4.5" across)

Approximate shape of the rear panels:

The curvature's hard to see:

This is what happened when I rode for about 30-45 minutes with a wintec pad underneath (look at the ruffled hair behind the shoulders):

Yep, Im seeing that with the twisted tree, but it is most noticeable with the rear photo, things aren't level, and it just looks funky. I dunno I hope its just the stand/photos

ugh, I am not envious of your saddle woes at all. I hope this thread helps, Ill grab some shots of my jumping saddle if I can muster the ambition to walk out through the snow to our tack shed.

** edit**
after seeing your photos, I really should go dig out my jumping saddle...
