You godda believe in something right(and I grew up with believe in god).It`s the only thing that keeps up hope,strength, etc.that makes me feel secure,helps me go on every F**** day and that I can go to sleep at night knowing someone is watching over me.

Do I believe in God?: You'd better believe it.
Why: Because I can. I believe first hand I've witnessed the work of god. I lost my mother, and went through this very suicidal stage (48 hour suicide watch at one time) when something hit me. It was like "Hey kid, you're still around. Someone cared enough and thought enough that you were going to change this world somehow, and left you. Now live, and do it."
What made me decide?: I think I pretty much stated that. I think past self-destructers and suicidals have a lot of appreciation for powers higher than us. I think we all have witnessed God when we were so close to the edge we are facing death. Not many know my story full hand, but I was looking death square in the eye. SOMEONE pulled me away from that, and it wasn't just an ordinary person.
It couldn't have been.


//edit\\ Also, since the loss of my brother someone handed me over a gracious and wonderful young man. My brother's best friend, but I had not known him that well. God gave me someone to lean and cry on. He gave me someone to watch over me.
He gave me someone that I clicked with in ways one cannot imagine.
Ordinary people do not click in the matter of seconds, they do not feel fully comfortable around each other right from the get go. You can tell me they do, and I will whole heartedly disagree with you.
It takes something else. Someone else to do that. To help with that.
Without Doug, without God, I may be going through so much more than I am now.

//another edit\\ Just to touch up on this...I was the "dark" kid before I lost mom. I was the one dressed in black with eyes as dark as night, if you get my drift. I didn't believe in God. I never thought I would. I don't think there are true atheists, so I won't say I was that. I just did not believe. I thought those who did were fools. I am not the kind that goes to church every sunday, the only times I set foot in a church is on special occasions. I am a believer. I wasn't born into believing, i set foot into it on my own. I think that says so much more than being born into it.
It's easy to grow up believing, it's another to go from what I did to what I am now.
