I am not disagreeing with you at all, because I was in that thinking.
But if the world were easy, it wouldn't be life. We would be wimps.
We would never learn of loss, and how to deal with it.
We would never become tough and able to face up for ourselves.

Dealing with hardships (whether it be murder, loss of a loved one, even rape) we wouldn't be who we are.
I think, when things like that happen, its God telling us to face up to life.

Do you believe in God?: No

Why: I come from a Roman Catholic family. My family believes in god, goes to church, prayers, the whole nine yards. Seeing that whole side, reading the bible, ect. I just did not believe it or believe in there being a higher power. There is too much bad in this world for somebody to be sitting watching it. I think me not believing also comes from my views on the church. I strongly disagree with a lot that the church teaches and their beliefs on certain subjects such as **********ity. I think if there was a God, he would also want his followers to accept all people regardless of what they do, dress, or act. There are simply too many things that have happened or are happening in this universe that I think would make it very hard to believe in a God.

What made you decide on your answer?: I think I pretty much said everything in the answer.

What made u decide on your answer?: there is no "decision" thats just the way it is.
You read the bible and start with In the Beginning..... that may be the beginning but there is so much that is not in there. You can't write a book on God
there is not enough paper or ink to undertake a project like that.
Someone once said to me that there is life on other planets. I asked them how they knew this.
The reply was this.
If God created earth, why stop there? Why not create a bunch of them? The fact of the matter is that the universe is so large we never see the end of it, we will never get to the edge with our little space trips. We are up there now going from planet to planet..... we haven't even touched the beginning of the universe yet....... it is so vast - just as I expect God to be......
its so hard to explain or put to paper ones faith. You just have it.


edit here: look really really hard at the vastness of the universe and you will see just how tiny you are..... for the universe to see you, you need to be under a microscope. And then it may be hard to find you - I am so tiny. I need God to help me through this jungle.

Why: I was raised being catholic. . I disagree with a lot of things that are taught in churches, such as same gender marriages, abortion, and other things. I dont see them as wrong, at all. My name is Beth and I'm 39 years old.
I absolutely, positively believe in God!
Why? Because I've seen His power in my life. By His power and awesome grace, He has transformed my life in ways that I could never imagine and couldn't have done on my own. He saved me from a life on the wrong side of the law, and saved my children from wayward parents! I could never have done this on my own! It was His supernatural power that did this to me! I am so grateful for His mercy and grace!

That is what made me decide my answer.
