| Full Member | !!!!!!!!!!Please Help I only have 2 days!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all, I'm looking at buying this western saddle, and I have been ringing horse shops to find out about this saddle, But none of them have heard of this brand saddle. I have tried searching the net but can't find anything about it, Please help I'am driving the 1 and a bit hours in 2 days to look at it and hopefully to buy it. Its brand is ( Equestro ) 17" western saddle, also can any one tell me what the size difference is between a western saddle and a all purpose saddle? Thanks all |

I spoke to the lady who owns it and she bought it in Sydney, Australia. She says its Argentinean leather, Which I don't have a clue what that leather is like. MMMMM I don't know wether to risk it and still buy it or wait for another saddle, but it is a lovely looking saddle.

Argetine saddles are generaly economical at best and cheap at worst. They used to be bottom of the barrel but have gotten better. Do you know if the saddle has a flex tree, rawhide/ ralide tree, or wood tree?

Argentinian saddles are usually pretty cheap, poor quality and shodly put together. I wouldn't get it, but that's just me. I know there are probably some that are just fine, I have just never seen one. As far as seat sizes, the seat is measured from the front screw on the pommel to the cantel, but most every saddle is different. Generally, a 16" in a western saddle is equivelant to a 17" in an english saddle. But, really, to get the best idea, you need to sit in the saddle to be sure. Does this saddle fit your horse?

Thanks for all the info on the saddle, I met with the lady at a horse shop an hours drive from my town and I had them check over the saddle for me, They said it was a good saddle and my bum fit in it, I took a coat hanger that I had shaped over my horses wither and it fit, The lady I bought it off said when I get it home and try it on if it doesn't fit she will be happy to refund my money. Unfortunatly I still haven't tried it on him as he has been biten on his back by another horse so once he is all healed I hope to god it does fit, So please keep all fingers crossed for me.
