Talking PJ is two stones lighter!

Yep, today was the big day, my 8 month old colt, PJ, got gelded, and he took it like a man In typical desert fashion, today was windy, cold and sunny. At least I don't have to worry about flies! His *plums* were still very small- the vet joked that they were German shepherd testies - as in he has seen German shepherds with bigger ones

Anyway, just thought I would share! He was a good boy, of course the heavy sedation helped, but still, he did very well. So, sorry all you cute fillies out there (i.e. HJ's Ember, PR's Gertie, Amber.Ali's Molly, to name a few) - wipe that drool off your purty lil faces, PJ is off the market

Here is my (not-so) studly boy (from last fall). I'll get new pictures when he is back to himself

awww I remember when Stormy got gelded! The vet said he has never had to give so many drugs to a horse to get him to go down, Stormy is a fighter, he also said he was amazed at the size of this boy parts, he said for a 10 month old, he was packing heat! That made us all laugh pretty hard!

LOL nice! I was glad the vet waited until PJ was out to insult the size of his manhood, but it was funny.

OH yeah, he barely knew he had them to begin with; I wanted to get him snipped ASAP - I have 2 mares so no point in him getting any ideas eh

Yeah PJ didn't know he had boy parts yet, but I am glad once he heals up I can turn him out with my mares and not have to worry then he will *discover* hes got stuff down there

Aw, shucks, thanks Amber.Ali *digs hole with toe in sand* He is most definitely going through an awkward growing phase right now - that combined with the shedding, he is more resembling a woolly mammoth then horse right now As soon as he is back to his playful self and hopefully sheds out a bit, I will definitely post some new pictures!
