I have gone to pinto world for many years now, and watched it become just a pre-paint world, ( at least in the stock breeds). All the big boys are there , full force. Unfortunately it has hurt the pinto world a bit.

Our yearling gelding class had about 45 entries in it, ALL of the big boys were there, and of course won most of the classes, even if they shouldnt have. The next year in our two year old gelding class it dropped to about 11 I think, it was mostly all the big boys and me and a few stragglers like me. and the yearling class was small.

They raved last year about how much bigger it was, but didnt tell that the other classes were bigger but the stock breeds classes were much smaller.

Had 54 in my yearling filly class, the next year , not many at all.

My daughter ( she is 9 ) won the costume class on her mare last year, with 23 entries in it.

I am not going to pinto world this year for the first time only because it conflicts with my daughters softball tournaments, she is catcher and pitcher and they really need her there. I am headed to paint world and I can bet that the class will be about the same horses as pinto world.

So, in the stock breeds, the challenge is up there as is in the paint world.

I would just fill out the paperwork and send it in , on the papers just mark overo ( or tobi, whatever he is) and act like its a given. I have done that on MANY horses that didnt have the 4 inches and they gave them papers. They want good horses and arent as persnickity as paint.

I had one gelding that pinto gave me papers with no problems, and paint refused them , said he was a bs!! figure that one out.

Even if he doesnt look like one? It be one thing if he had high socks. Dont they have to have a pic of the spot?

Heck Yea , I would, first off, nice boy!! Send them a copy of your paint papers, fill out the paperwork, send a pic of the spot. I would try. My boy had a small strip on the underside of his belly, a sliver of pink skin, not much white at all and we got pinto papers. How long is the spot? It looks pretty good sized.

All they can do is say no!! LOL! It wont cost you anything to try,

its about 2.5 inches at its longest

I would go for it, mine was barely 2 inches , and I mean barely, that is why paint wouldnt reg him. but pinto did.

like I said, it wont cost you anything except a little postage. Worth a shot.
