| Senior Member+ | pics from today, someone felt like running today
Today was the day to put the full tack and tie down on Dollar and turn him loose in the round pen. I figure if he was gonna have a fit with it on I was NOT gonna be on his back LOL No I do not ride him with one normally but I am looking at all options to nip the head tossing backwards in the bud Anyways, Tom decided to work with him first and boy did that boy cut loose and run! LMAO All he said was walk and off he was sprinting In about the 4th pic I enter the scene. I prefer nothing but kissing and the lead rope with him, so thats what I did and you can see that he is MUCH calmer and compliant I threw in a few pics of his cool down with my little girl walking him, he's SO good for her.I also put up a few pics of the boys in the pasture coming to say hi. The first one is of Destiny, the BM's horse, then me and Shah, then Dollar standing behind the other BM's horse Arro.if you look closely hes sticking his tongue out at him LOL Just wanted to share. If anyone has any comments or suggestions on his movement feel free,I'm never offended just looking to learn

| Senior Member+ | I hope they tie-down helps his head tossing problem! We had a mare a while back who threw her head constantly, not enough to hit you, but it was ******** annoying. We never did try a tie-down, she was sold because she didn't handle large groups well and she was wanted for a trail horse (not actually MY horse, but I have a habit of calling them all mine). He looks nice. -Bella

yes Belle4- that cute ornery little bay! He's had a few bad experiences in the round pen so we take baby steps in that area as well I'm hoping the tie down can just be a reminder for him and not something I ever have to ride with. Kinda like when we loaded him in the straight load the first time.remember I said he started tossing his head up and bopped it on the top of the trailer? Well he hasn't done that dumb stunt again LOL I guess I'm hoping similar with this.If he goes to throw his head and meets resistance I'm hoping the little smarty pants will say"hmmm, I don't like how that feels, maybe tossing isn't such a good thing to do" and that'll be the end of it! I know, probably wishful thinking but a girl can hope! I can tell you that once I got on to ride we took the tie down off and he only tossed once or twice and not near as high! Lets hope that little pea brain got something out of the experiment LOL
