Poor boy, at least there is SOME progress in the healing.

You and your vets are doing a wonderful job. I can understand where you're coming from with him being a future breeding stallion. I hope it all works out for you.
Like I said in an earlier post. I know of someone whos horse had a similar injury. It's doing well now, so don't lose sight of the big picture no matter how long it takes to acheive it.

Bummer about the proud flesh--but with the size and location of his wounds I doubt you could have avoided it. Also sorry to hear about the horse that coliced--you're having a rotten run of luck. Hope they are able to do the grafts soon, and in one shot, and wishing a speedy recovery to the other horse as well
BTW--nice trailer!!

Thanks! I am sure we looked strange hauling one hores in our six-horse trailer, but it usually stays hooked up, so instead of switching to our 4-horse, or 3-horse trailers, we just took the bigger one, lol. It actually needs quite a bit of repair if you look closely (minor things), but with it, we can usually go places with one trailer instead of two.

OOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. My heart goes out to you and poor Static. I have NEVER seen such trauma. The poor baby. He is one strong, determined horse. I have been following Statics' story, and keeping him and you in my prayers. God speed on a miraculous recovery and a bright future for him. I hope all is well with your other horse too. You must be exhausted trying to keep up with all of this. Thanks for the update. Best of luck.

Oh that poor sweet boy!! My heart goes out to him. What a trooper he is. It must have been awful to see all that blood. He is definitely in good hands and I am sure he will continue to heal just fine.
