ya I think there is possibility too! I am so excited about finally getting a place in the country so my boys can come home!! I know it needs work but I enjoy that stuff and in the end I think it will be really cool, I could do so many different things with those outbuildings!

I think that is awsome. For that price where I live you could probably buy a rock...Go for it!!

Sher, what a great looking place for a great price. The potential is unlimited. If you can get the extra $20 000 I would go for the other 2 acres as it will be so handy you'll wonder how you did without it.

It looks great, and for the extra $20,000 I think you'd be getting a great deal. Where in Illinois is it located? I have relatives in Decatur, and think I'd have to come and visit you when I go up.

Qtrgirl-you sure could come visit! I'm only about an hr away heading towards Bloomington Area from there I grew up in Heyworth which is a straight shot down 51 south but I haven't lived there for years.

Be careful if you come to soon after I move in, I may hand you gloves and tools LOL

Looks great! The concrete pad could be cleaned up and used (parking etc) It would be expensive to move . The buildings look sound and can be renovated th look fantastic!

John- my husband said it would be EXTREMELY expensive to pay to have removed and a major undertaking to do ourselves but I would love for it to be pasture or riding area.Unfortunately I'm far from made of money so I'll have to be a bit more creative in it's use LOL

The barns are very solid except one and its not bad, it only needs one support beam secured better, other than that it's interior work like stalls, lighting, etc.
There is no way I could erect that many outbuildings for the price, around here an acre of unused country land avgs about 5-10,000 per so for the price I am actually getting the buildings as a bonus so if it takes awhile to get them in working order its worth it.
That pasture just looks so shaggy I'm afraid that will be my biggest pain trying to get it set up and healthy for the boys!

In a heartbeat

I would buy it in a heartbeat for that price. The buildings are worth that and probably more. If I saw no signs of termite damage, I would be helping the lady move out.
I am a fixer-up type person any way and the sweat only makes it more mine. I had to build everything I have from scratch. I wish some of our older farm buildings were closer to the part of the farm I built on.

Leave the concrete. Cover it with dirt. Eventually put your indoor on the concrete pad. Even if you dug the concrete up, hauling away would cost major bucks. Leave it. Cover it. Uncover if you ever need it.

Major good deal! I am even getting excited for you now!

I hope everything falls into place. Remember... good things happen to good people. Your family must be living right.

Ok I'll be up, but I'm bringing my ride on lawnmower to help you cut down some of those weeds. LOL Just take it one day at a time, and before you know it will be just the way you want it.
