I don't really do anything right now, she'll only be 3 in June. So I'll be starting her training as soon the weather and ground conditions are ideal, no indoor facilities unfortuanately. Once she is 'broke' to ride (western), she'll be used for trail rides, pleasure, and to work with the cattle-bring them home from pasture for water, to be milked...she likes to play with them in the field, chasing them around a bit, its funny to watch her playing with the cows, its kinda cute too.

Oh yeah, do plan on breeding her someday. The people I bought her from (which is my friend's parent's farm-they breed paints mostly, and a few QH mares wiht their paint stud, and train), my friend asked if I'd sell her back, but I said no, I don't want to sell her. They wanted to buy her because they like the way she turned out and want her to breed to. So now she will be bred (for free) for two breeding seasons to my friends stallion, and I get her first baby (was hoping on breeding her someday, and to the exact stud, didn't think it would happen, yay applaud ) and then they get the next foal. Both she and the stallion are so alike in temperament-calm level headed horses, and both are so sweet-and they both have nice conformation and are about the same size-15.2hh, and they both have excellent bloodlines as well (both are APHA registered). Plus the stallion is the quietest stallion I've ever seen, he shares his corral with four miniatures, three are mares, and the way he is with them you'd never think he was a stallion-my friend even said as a joke "you'd think he's gay". ha ha ha. Now, their other stallion (my mares daddy) tends to get himself into trouble when it comes to mares... Anyway, can't wait [ February 12, 2004, 08:17 PM: Message edited by: horsepower2004 ] |
