Oh man, like how? Do you mean that someone could have transferred him illegally before a year was up? Why would they have had him there if that was the case?

Since this was actually through the blm and they are doing things legit with the papers, then I doubt that was the case.

However with the way you first presented it, it seemed that this was not the blm and that they were running horses through that they might or might not have had legit papers on.

How long did you keep Reno in the enclosure?

I kept her in for a little over a month after I could go in and catch her, lead her outside of the pen, etc...She was kept in an enclosure for 15 months prior to that while attempting to gentle her. So a total of about 18 months.

That's the only reason I said anything to begin with. I mean she got a horse, that's great. It was cheap, even greater! Until a government official comes knocking on her door saying that she has stolen government property on her land and takes the horse from her.

I'm not always the best at explaining things, you know what I mean? I guess it did sound kind of like I was saying I had his papers as far as ownership, but I just meant I have health records & where he came from. Everthing was explained to us very thoroughly about our responsibilities & that he is not oficially ours for one year, & then with a vet's approval with a clean bill of health.

I know VERY little about the BLM and mustang adoption. I do know that locally there is a sale about once a year of what is advertised as "wild horses" and it works just like she described because I've known about people close to me who have went and bought like that and for under $100. Are they legal mustangs? I don't know but I can sure see there being a scam in something like that and what a shame for people like Crazi if they thought they were on the up and up and had to give up their horse

I have never heard of the min fee being reduced on any of them. I know that they never did on the auction that was around here. You either paid the $125 or you didn't get a horse. Most went for above (due to bidding) usually around $175-200.

Oh Lord! I hope that doesn't happen! Wouldn't they know about something like that?
