Photography critique please - warning lots of pics

Hi Guys

I went to the Dubbo Western Plains zoo in NSW the other weekend and shot just under 700 shots over 2 days lol.

Can you please critique my shots so far and tell me what you think of them? They have had minimal if any postproduction done on them(majority of them have none).

These have been shot on a Canon 40D with the 70 - 300mm IS USM f4 - 5.6 on Av priority setting.

The day itself was very clear/sunny. (and hot hehe)

I really need to work on my composition etc so please be harsh and tell me what you think is good/bad/blahish

thanking you in advance

They're beautiful! You are quite talented! The duck came out kindda blurry, but I know that with the longer lenses, that tends to happen. It's a shame. I LOVE the last one, it makes me laugh, and it's very good.

You have some very good photos. I love the clarity in all of them. I would just play alittle with the levels or brightness and contrast in photoshop with some of them.

Thanks for the comments guys - please keep them coming

The duck is the only cropped pic i've put up here so it shows that it's a bit softer than the original pic.

Woah your pics are amazing!

From a "nobodies" (an un-photographers) point of view they look excellent!!!

I love how you have framed the subject with things like the trees and giraffes legs
