Question Pasture question

Not quite sure where to put this, so if this needs to be moved, so ahead mods. :]

So, Our three horses will be separated soon enough, and we're going to be separated soon, as it seems it peeves a few people.

There is a pasture that is attached to the arena that Taylor and Mama used to be, and had now grown quite a bit of grass.

Where they're at now, is quite a bit of dirt and an aggresive horse.

Can I move my horse down to the other pasture without anything wrong going on? Like getting sick going from no grass to grass? We're also wanting to save some money on hey for food, but will be feeding what's left of the grassy Alfalfa hay so they don't go from alfalfa to grass.

If that is confusing, I'll try and revise if you ask questions. Haha

Thanks in advance. :]

Put your horse in the pasture for one hour one day, 2 hours the next day, 3 hours the next day .. and so on. Once you hit 8 hours you can leave them on full time. You can also get a grazing muzzle.

good advice. You could also take off the top layer of a patch of the grass with a mower and section it off with electric tape then gradually make the area they are allowed bigger as they eat the grass off.

Well, we won't be there long, so I think I'll just do the previous idea. Thanks SO much though. I'll try that if when we get to the other house and it's that way.

Thanks so much. :]

something I found out when you put you horse on grass try for when the grass has the least amount of sugars warm nights mainly in the morning/ night time has very high sugars from the sun all day and the longer the grass the better the shorter the grass the more sugars it will have due to trying to grow

Thanks you so much. :] We'll be putting them in today, and the grass is very long and nice looking. We'll be going up and spending some time with them since I wasn't able to yesterday.
