Subject: Pancho the donkey!!!

Hi my name is Shiloh Sosa and I had spoke to someone a couple of weeks ago
about a donkey that I have. I'm looking for a good home for him. He's about
5-6 years old i'm really not to sure, and he is very gentle. The only
problem is that he is still a stud!!!! The scars on his face are from a bad
case of sandburn a couple years back. Pancho has live by himself for about
three years with no interaction with anything but people. I recently put
some heifers in with him and he totally treated them like jennys that were
in heat, it was a wreck. So I've had him seperated in a pen byhimself. I
cant seem to figure out to do with him and rather take him to the sale I
thought maybe yall might have a better place for him. Please let me know
what ya think and what we can work out.
Thank You so very much,
Shiloh Sosa

I thought if you geld a stud late in life, they will still act like a stud even after they are gelded b/c they were gelded late in life.

Getting him gelded would be good so he cant breed but i dont think it will help his "stud thinking" what ever you want to call it.

Geeze just get him gelded. My rescue donkey Pete was gelded at the ripe old age of like 13 years old and you never knew he had formerly been an intact male. I had him turned out with my three mares for the entire time he was here and never had a problem. Plus my mom gelded her breeding jack after 15 years of breeding him and he's now pastured with a couple of his old breeding partners and some of his daughters with out any problems. He no longer knows he used to be a breeding man.

Just tell that lady to get him gelded. she'd be doing both herself and him a HUGE favor.
