Palominos - darker or lighter

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows whether palominos have a tendency to get darker with age or lighter. I know that grey horses tend to get lighter as they get older but I didn't know if it is the same with palominos or not.
Does anyone have one that has noticed a change while they have owned it?

My mare had a palomino bs paint colt last year. He was a very pale yellow when he was born (almost white). He is 20 months old now and still very light, but he is getting darker. In the winter palominos get lighter and when they shed out their winter coats they will be darker again.

Hold on and I will post a picture of him when he was born and from now.
