Just because they had it, doesn't mean it was passed on.

She could. Doesn't matter to me! Heck we've never tested any of our mares. They are what they are!

Bunny has the Frame gene since frame is the only one linked to the lethal white so far.
Also Tobi because of Sire being homozygous Tobi.
Her dam was not a frame carrier BUT had lacing on her fanny (thus the name fanny lace . She had enough pink to have regular paint papers.

This is where her roaning comes as a mystery to me. She was tested negative for sabino1. So that leaves the million other sabino type genes OR maybe Rabicano. Not sure though because her tail is mainly white. could explain roaning in the flanks or it could be the other sabino type gene(s).

Sorry about that. I placed in the opening thread eventually she will be tested, well she is now and she came back as a Lethal White carrier (Frame) and negative on Sabino1. I would like to see pictures of horses that test positive for Sabino1 to see what their markings look like.

Think really loud maximum white sabino.... Appaloosa-ish. They usually carry the SB1 gene 100% of the time. Sabino Horse Registry is a good place for you to look. Don't feel bad about the no SB1. Every sabino we sent in came back negative when the test was being developed and many of the 'dales come back negative for it as well!

I know... same with my filly. Chin white, roaning, speckles... I could have swore she'd come back Sabino1, but she didn't, so it has to be some other form of sabino.
