Paco x Pine Hancock colt-Black

Pine had this little guy last Sunday. The weather finally turned around yesterday and got nice. We received over 2" of rain this past week, hence the mud on him... They are loving their new home down on the big pasture.

I should be resting, but I can't help it.... thought I'd download what I had from yesterday at least. Bart is this guy's full brother. He walked up pretty close to me until momma had to barge in. She's our most protective mom, so she usually puts a quick damper on my fun...hmmpph.

This is Bart as a baby....

And Bart today

They are very similar in color as newborns, but.... the new one has roaning on his rear!! So..... I have no idea what he's going to be They confuse me so bad sometimes!! Couldn't just be mousy grey like Bart, so we would know he was black..who knows.

That is crazy! Maybe he is going to be black then, Definate updates of pics when they shed their hair. I just thought bay because of the red look to him. Like he was going to be a dark bay. hmmm. Just pull all their mane/tail samples and send off for their color! . We'll do a fund raiser for "Nickernod's Color fund" LOL

Now that made me laugh!! Nothing like being known as the woman with the Crazy colored horses! I need all the help I can get. This has been the craziest year ever, for trying to guess our foals' colors! Wait til I post Dusty's baby that she just had. He is solid black with not a speck of white on him anywhere. He'll be white by July.

Just shave off a 2"x2" patch on his bum..... very accurate in seing color then!! I did that with my appaloosa filly, and she ended up that color.
