| Senior Member | Pacing When standardbreds pace, what does it feel like while riding? The standardbred I am getting may pace (I have forgotten to ask in the whole other jumble of questions I asked lol) I am not sure, but I just wanted to know if it is comfortable or uncomfotable, smooth or bumpy etc. |

| Senior Member | Depends. My Walker used to pace, and it felt really rough and out of control. It can be very fast, too! SBs may be different though.

| Senior Member+ | The one expacer i rode was really smooth to ride. But, when i tried to go rising, it was a disaster! Sit trot was all i could do! I guess it depends on the horse.

| Senior Member+ | In my expierence, they have huge strides, even when they trot. Rising can be a bit of a disaster, simply because their stride is so different. If you sit trot though, not so much of a problem. Standardbreds are beautiful horses

| Senior Member | Pacing on a SB is comfortable if they go slowly, but it gets harder to sit if they go fast. It is really smooth and you sort of rock from side to side. My mare used to do it when she got nervous. |
