I have noticed that the less you do with lighter horses the cleaner they stay.

Not when you live in the mountains of New Mexico when the dirt is really RED CLAY LOL

This isn't my horse but one I am training.. I brush her mane and tail now and then to deal with the tangles and brush her back before I ride (usually bareback) that's it.. No baths or anything, though she could definately use one but would most likely roll right after!

Here is her Royal Dirtyness.. and this is AFTER I brushed her *sigh*

I remember the red clay of Georgia VERY well. My horse wasn't grey, he was peach.

Our white paint would find the dirtiest spot to roll in after it rained. I have pics of when he was white on one side and dirty on the other side.
