Question Overo, Tovero, or Tobiano?

I wasn't really sure where to put this, but "breeding" seemed ok....

Can ya'll tell me if Dancer is a tovero, overo, or tobiano? I think he's overo, but I do get kind of confused by those terms.... Thanks.

ok...but what makes him what? I just read a description of each color pattern, but none of them made a whole lot of sense as far as clarifying which one he is!

He looks to be Frame Overo with Sabino in the picture.

Frame Overo has white splotches in the middle of the body, with the outline of the body "framed" by color. The legs are solid.

The white on his legs looks to be coming from Sabino, given that the RH white comes up way past his hock, and there is the broken white/color on the LF. The white on his face and chin is from the Sabino as well.

It's possible there is Splash in there as well - white which starts from the bottom and works its way up, but since they generally have blue eyes, that's not likely.

Thanks JBandRio! One thing though-one of his eyes is blue. So would that indicate splash? I don't really know much of anything about paint genetics, or color genetics at all for that matter!

I don't see anything Tobiano about him, so not a Tovero... He looks to be a Frame with Sabino... Sabino's commonly have blue eyes.

Overos cannot have color cross over the back or topline. Between the withers and tailhead. If it does than the horse would either be a Tobiano or Tovero....

This mare is tobiano.
This is an overo. I was told a splash but I'm not sure.
