my horse is old and has a parrot mouth. He still wins EVERY hunter class and is THE BEST horse ever. It doesnt matter about his teeth!!!! I wouldnt have him any other way! P.S. u have to make carrots smaller cause he cant eat them as easily at other horses!!

Heck no! Jack and Gizmo both have parrot mouths, and they are practically perfect!

As long as he can still eat ok, and the vet says hes in gud health, i dnt c y u should pass him by. Charlie has a horrible confo fault, but he is the best horse iv ridden. Its not always looks...i realise that now

I don't think it will effect him much.. if it's really bad, he might not be eating right.. which isn't good. Maybe get the dentest out, like stars_of_vegas said?

thanks Guys, I was worried that we would have to pass her up, she eats long grass fine, but we only have short grass, so she would be on Hay and grain only.

We are going to have a farrier come out to see her becuase she is sore on her front hoof when she walks on somthing hard, it might be that she needs her feet trimed.
the guy is really good, so we are going to have hom look to.

naw, my horse has parrot mouth. Doesnt bother her a it. The only thing is she eats a little slower but still gets PLENTY to eat the little fatty. lol. It also might get a couple points taken off at shows but, from what I understand, you dont really want to show the horse.
