**Over 60 Starving Horses Need Help in Washington**

To help with urgent rescues or to find out about one of the rescues that has been with Patricia for several months and is healthy and vetted, please contact
Patricia Clark
206-484-7998 or 425-432-9697

note- Patricia is NOT the person who has neglected these horses- she found out about them and has taken in over 10 of them herself and is facilitating getting the rest of them adopted and shutting down the place that has them.

Here is your chance to give a needy horse a much needed holiday gift!
There are approximately 60 horses in Kent (by Reber Ranch) who have been horribly neglected.

They have not been fed or watered for quite some time, are living in horrid conditions, and are in dire need of adoption. There is a variety of ages, breeds, sizes and conditions.

If you can help by offering to adopt one or more of these equines, *please contact Patricia* in Maple Valley, an experienced horsewoman who is coordinating efforts with officials, horse folk and neighbors. The horses are being watered and fed now, but desperately need adoption. Please only get involved if you can truly offer responsible ownership for these animals - feed, water, dry space, vet and farrier care, and knowledgeable horse handling skills

Perhaps you have a horse in need of a pasture mate? An extra field, stall or paddock, and plenty of hay for the winter?

*If you are interested in helping this sad situation,* *please call Patricia: 206-484-7998.*

Reber Ranch is, this place is *near* Reber but not at ALL affiliated with them. It was called PEC (Pacific Equestrian Center) I believe.

If they were closer to me I would consider taking a few in but that is so far from me.

So is this one of those places associated with the Columbia Basin Equine Rescue that bought a bunch of horses from the feedlot in Yakima WA and now cannot feed them or place them?

Yes PEC is the place that takes in lots of horses from the Zillia feedlot for CBER. They are also called WA Thoroughbred Transisitional Facility. PEC is currently in bankruptsy and the property is listed for sale.

They deny that anything is wrong with the animals and claim that AC has already been out there. Make whatever you want of it all. I wouldn't take a horse from them if somebody paid me to.

That is my understanding of the situation as well, it just stinks that they have all these horses out there rotting...

I am SO glad Patricia has taken in some of these horses, and the ones she has are in great shape now but the before pictures are sickening, there is no other way to put it.

I do hope people contact Patricia (who has NO affiliation with PEC besides having heard about the terrible condition and decided to do something about it) because she will get the horses into decent homes and save them, which is the idea.
