Before I read your last post I was about to comment that we are finally starting to see a good hint of her true coat color. I really believe that will be her adult color.

The white on her belly is intersting... little sabino gene at work there.

Unfortunately with her being bay and mom being bay, color isn't going to give you even a hint at which sire it might have been. :-( It's gonna have to be blood-typing or DNA.

She's soooo cute and I am so glad she has a good nature to boot!

Haha, no way her adult color. She is changing everyday in color. It amazes me every couple days what I will see.

She has now turning black up to her fetlock and then grey color up to her hocks with the exception of her white sock. Her belly is turning light grey also on the sides of her legs and underneath and the sides of her belly. She is still red all over the neck and head. She has black that has been coming out on her withers taking over the red hair and black taking over the red along her backbone. If you look from her tail its like looking at a road and at the withers you could turn left or right She is starting to form black around her eyes but is keeping the red eyelashes so far. I think she is turning grey! lol Wouldnt that be something with all the red and I seriously doubt it, but I'm not a color person. Just an interesting thought and I love watching her.

Before barely showing any color and the black peaking out three days ago

Oh I don't think she will STAY this color... I just think she will end up this color in the end. With black points though which is what you are seeing coming in already.

She does look grayish on her back in that one photo... any hint of gray or white in the hair around her eyes? That could be a BIG determining factor in sires.

Ok, I misunderstood. She is grayish where it looks lighter under her belly and inside her legs. Maybe turning silvery before black. I have not noticed any gray in her eyes. Her lashes as I have expressed are deep red and not black. She tends to shade black+red around the eyes. What I have noticed also is that her mane and tail are not all black. I know she is bay and I do not contest that. She has red streaks in her mane, forelock and tail, even a tint of brown/tan i the tail. Maybe more baby stuff but the mane definately long strands of hair.
Also, without over exagerating colors, her mane is a tinting silver and not jet black as the pics show with red hairs growing within and under. Heres an upclose pic..... She just looks like alot of silver or gray I guess you would call it coming out..and that funny looking calic on her neck

River our dog today, he is the babysitter of all animals here and puts them in their pens when they get out. River has a new found baby to watch over and he does it with consistency and care.

in the pic of her playing with the ball it looks like she has 4 socks. can you see buckin, how many she has yet?
i wonder if she may be more of a bay with flexan (cant spell it, that where theres a big mix of colourse silver/brown/block...) mane and tail. i know one that was like that with silver/brown/black mane and tail until he was about 5. now its gone dark.
