Thanks for the replies. I'm so nervous.......lol

So since this morning I have also noticed while spending a bit of time with Yankee that she is very loose in stool. She has liquid which looks clear come out before doing her poo. It almost looks like the squirts at first, then you see the semi solid poo. And, afterwards, she contracts her rectal area but instead of squeezing like it shoots outwards, in a long funnel shape, looking in the shape of a piece of paper when you roll it. Round and long. I've never seen a horse do that before, almost like pushing the rectal area out. It was a weird sight to see for sure.

Loose stools were the ONLY sign my mare gave before she foaled. I didn't even realize it was a sign until afterwards... I kept expecting to see her flanks sink or her vulva relax... or wax on her teats... or lack of appetite... nothing except loose stool.

I fed her about 7pm and sat with her awhile that night. She ate like normal. I went in and was using the computer. I had the music up and when I shut it off I heard banging. So I went to look out the window and the other horses were running back and forth in front of her stall, so I rushed out, but she already had him.

I'm guessing that she'll foal in the next 2-3 days. She seems to really be progressing quite fast now as compared to the past couple of weeks.

Sorry no cam. Internet service does not support steaming video because of bandwidth usage.

The storm has hit about half hour ago. Its already hailing and raining hard. uggh......Hopefully this is the last storm we have.

Will you tell Yankee to just hurry up and get it over with. I am still waiting to see a foal pic. I don't care how many pages are up. I just can't wait much longer BUT I know I can't do anything to speed things up.

My mare would wait until I had to run to the house to potty. Upon my return she had allready droped the foal. She did this to me twice. I got over it quickly because I finally got to see the foal.

I think in the past, someone said, watch her pop out a mule.......lol Now would'nt that be something. I remember back in 1976 some girlfriends and I were riding. We got home and my grandmothers mare had foaled. It was a mule and they were very surprized being the ranchers they were. They just knew she was going to foal a big QH from their cow horse who was a stud. They named him Ralph. He stuck with them as a faithful pack and ride mule for 28 years.

Just a thought I had on my mind.

Yankee is swishing herself. My neighbors from up the hill came by. Yankee pinned her ears and took after them. She is quite friendly with me though. She wants her neck held and nose rubbed now. Sighs of being restless and big.
