Our Yankee having a baby?

I just found it for the first time too. How exciting, I am going thru my first pregnant mare right now too. She is close too, but not as close as your mare. Good luck, hope she foals soon.

Just this morning I was only able to spend enough time to feed and clean her stall/shelter area. While doing so, I always take my camera. These are consecutive pics taken within three minutes time. She now is hardly eating her straw anymore, remember she has been eating it constantly past three days. I have noticed she is constantly biting her side last night and today, her tail is up 3-4 inches but no urine or pooping going on. Tail swishing, she is kicking right now as I write this walking in circles in the 14x16. She is acting ****** off right at this moment. ALso this morning she was like chewing cud like a cow and licking her mouth. I know horses dont chew cud so maybe she had left overs in her mouth. Seemed like she was grinding her teeth? Ok, hay delivery is here and gotta go unload. I'll post later if any changes.

This morning while cleaning her stall.

About 30 seconds later (her tongue out licking her chops)

THis morning about a minute later than the above pic

And again, and again. Its gone on all day, licking, chewing, kicking,pacing,yawning

She's looking at her tummy.......lol. What a sweet look when they do that.

It is a sweet look, but if we could only feel what she's feeling when she gives that look. LOL!!!

I don't know how much longer I can get by with saying she's very close. The girl's gotta pop. :-)

Is she waxing still? Hows the fluid today?

I'm not sure what's taking so long. Maybe she is uncomfortable and not due? Last night and especially today she has been rubbing her butt against the walls of the shelter. All day today as so she has rubbed off her hair and down to meat on her butt cheek. She is leaning against also. I hope she doesnt fall through as it is only thick OSB board. She is standing one foot and the the other constantly shifting weight. I did notice she was sweating under her chest between her two front legs earlier. ALl the rest of the symptoms have been going on also that I posted earlier. She is pacing alot today around and around.

Her teats I can see now but I see no milk coming in.

Oh, and also very little stools and if so very wet like almost runny. WHen she urinates it is almost like a surprise to her as she seems startled to pee and squats quickly.

Leaning her butt against a wall is her reaction to pressure on her butt from inside. Essentially she's pushing back. :-) The runny stools are yet naother famous sign.

Is she a maiden? I'm sorry I forget. If she is a maiden it is of course very possible that she won't really show many udder signs until she foals.
