Doodle is now almost four months old. All I can say about the experience of a new foal from birth til now is - WOW! We have had the most amazing time with Doodle since she was born. Also with Yankee during her pregnancy. We thought to share an update with everyone here because all of you helped so much.

Doodle, will be four months on July 7th. She is very healthy with a shining deep red coat. Beginning to form a big muscled up butt and has legs for days. My husband and I are thinking she is ALOT of TB? Her withers are 4ft and 2 inches from the ground already. I beleive making her 12.5 hh already. This is tall for us at a young age since our oldest 7 yr old is only 15HH (who is her mom Yankee). She'll be towering our 800lb cows soon in height. Her demeanor and atttitude has an AAA+ and she will do anything for you at your request. She tries her best to please wether leading or working basic ground. She is fast fast like lightening running out in the open pasture. It's amazing sometimes she runs through the olive trees weaving about like she was a Gymkhana horse already. She has so much red in her body mane and tail it is just gorgeous. We just adore her from her white sock up to her blacked tipped ears. And she has an extremely wavy and full mane and tail? Thank you all so much for your help four months ago and before.

Picks up her feet easily
Gets in a trailer without fuss or backing out
Leads and ties anywhere
Walks water
Clips
Takes a bathe
You can even put a whole sheet over her whole body just leaving her eyes out and she is one "cool" girl.
She loves to go explore and go on walks

We should have called her "Long Tall One" , that she is. I wonder how big she will get.

Time will tell...........













Yankee is doing great also. She is back to riding and looks GREAT. I ran out of room on my card and didnt get to get a pic of her in but I will post one soon for her.

OMG! She is just georgious! And with what you have gotten her used to doing, she sounds like she will be the perfect horse for your children in time! I am so glad you got a solid colored horse, I remember you hoping for not a lot of white.....I think you got just enough white, to make her stand out from the crowd of solid color horses! Good luck and please keep us posted with updates and pictures, you know we all love to see the babies grow up! Congrats again, on you beautiful filly!
