What a pretty color, you're doing a great job already. She's the same color as your dog, too.

A little update, just for you, Dixiefordgurl.

Alibi did really well up to a few weeks ago, but it seems our YO has been cutting corners. My BF (Alibi's owner), myself (with Giselle my TB mare) and my best friend (who owns a 2yo registered Friesian) all stable at the same yard. Suddenly, all the horses are losing weight (yes, even the Friesian is looking thin!). The grass she gives was cut from a neighbouring property and has NO nutritional value. It looks like thatch and the horses don't want to eat it. I am livid. I pay for eragrostis and teff, not veldt grass from the property next door! We went and bought teff and lucern and are now feeding the horses ourselves.

Needless to say, we are moving the horses end of this month. But to put your minds at ease, here is a pic of Alibi taken last Sunday (18 January):

As you can see, she's lost some condition and that beautiful colour, but we'll soon have her looking good again.

Oh, and as for what we were (supposedly) feeding her:

6kg Epol concentrates
Teff / eragrostis ad lib

Mixed with a cup of micronised barley:
Equifox complete horse supplement
Biotin for the hooves
Equifox Mobility HA joint supplement

Lots of love and carrots
