| Senior Member  |  Our new PMU foal, got him tonight! 9-14-05 Our new PMU foal (baby boy) And the barn Name WINNER is.............. Derby! Ya know like, demolition Derby........... with all his boo boo's We thought it appropriate. lol..........   He had some Boo  Boo's on the way home. One Really bad one he got just before we left the rescue. Well to me, it looked like it needed a plastic surgon  ! To a friend of mine who came to welcome him here, they said call a vet for possible stitches, but most likely just gob some bag balm on it,  it'll heal.This morning (9-15-05) Well, I still can't get ahold of the vet, now it's too late for stitches, so I really hope it will heal ok. The gob of yellow on his forhead is where the big boo boo is. I'll try and get another pic of it without the bagbalm on it in a bit. I was out there working with him and he let me touch ALL over with Tiny resistance( in the beginning he would pick his hind foot to belly when privates were touched) But SO gental, once you made the sound (like a grunt)  like on the comedy "Home Improvement" show, he put his foot back down. Now he drops his HMM-HMM right in front of me!  He has let me pick all 4 hooves up and hold for a good 20 seconds!- And waits till "I" put it back down. This colt is UNBELEIVABLE. If I wasnt "told" he was raised in the field for 4-5 months, I would have thought he was imprinted at birth,lol. He sets still to take pictures too, what a camera hound,lol! He came over and muzzled my had for the first time this morning too. I have fallen in love with him. (  But he dosen't replace my Sunny Poppy that I gave up like a Ninny.)I do wish I had his papers for him though so I know who his parents are and if his registered name is as it says now on his health certificate. (Rusty Thistlette's) They told my his name was Rusty Pines 3 days ago. The Following Photo is gross, so If you have a sensitive stomach, don't look, k? . . . . .  I was a bit better later today. I put a halter on him just to see if he would let me, and Yep, he let me, check it out....  He does have quite the belly, I need to pick up some Ivermectin ASAP. I thought I had a few around from May, but I must have used them. He is Such a good boy!

Aww! he's cute! ANd yes, just keep putting bag balm on his face, they'll heal.

I've been waiting for this!!! LoL!! I was SOO SOO happy when you decided to go ahead and continue on with getting a PMU baby..!! And LOOK at him! What a sweet face he has!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Names.. Congrats!!! I'm glad you decided to get him I've been waiting for pics! He's gorgeous!! Is that your daughter with him? She looks so happy! That's too bad about his travelling wounds, but they will heal.

He is adorable, with big beautiful eyes! What happend that he got so naged up in the face?? I had a 1/4 horse colt named Cutter [reg name Pending Cutter], His eyes remind me of my Cutter. If you like the name, you can use it for him?!

He is a nice looking colt. I want to tell you how proud and happy I am you stayed with your original decision and got him. He looks gentle. I bet you make an excellent owner. That is one lucky PMU.

CONGRATS ON YOUR PMU!!!! you are about to be the proudest person EVER!! PMU's are SOOOO rewarding!!! we have 5.....2 2003 foals, a 2004 foal from 1 of our 2 pmu mares we adopted!!!! they are so willing once they trust you!it's like they know what you've saved them from!!! he looks like a vinny or brady to me.....he's soooo cute!!! charlie rory corey harley (i love that one!!) sammy bailey |
