My niece hasn't registered Cleo yet. The paperwork is in order. She just has to do it.

Ok...now I see her...wasn't sure which one she was, lol.

So, assuming she will be N registry unless she has mottled skin (in the right locations and you can get a picture of it) and one other characteristic. She then will need a performance permit to show. Since she is QH to App breeding the permit is going to cost $315 (for non-members) until she is 12 months old and after that the fee goes up to $565 (non-member).

She can only be bred to a regular registered app stallion (non N designation) for the offspring to be registered. Breeding to a snowcap or fewspot to "gurantee" color is the best bet for getting regular papers. As long as the foal comes out with mottled skin (again in the correct places and clearly visiable in a photo) and one other characteristic the foal will get regular papers (by any regular registered stallion).

Thank You!

We were bummed she didn't get spots but our fingers were crossed that she could still be bred to get regular papers and hopefully get silver going in appaloosas.

YEA!

We really should talk since that is one of my goals as well! When you posted your boy a while back I was really excited since I have been searching to find something with silver good enough to breed into my program.

Does she have characteristics? If not now it is possible that she will get them in the future. They don't have to have spots to get regular registration.
