Our first unicorn!

We had our first characteristic unicorn born this morning - a chestnut filly with the tiniest bit of color on her rump, a nice little star, and a perfect horn...

On a more serious note, the filly born this morning has a small growth on her forehead (looks boney, but I haven't been brave enough to touch it). I did a google search but I can't find anything... Does anyone know what it is or what caused it? I'm going to try and get a picture after lunch, but I don't know if my camera is going to work for me.

Thanks for any info, I'm very curious!

I once saw a picture of a unicorn.. more of a mini or smallish sized horse with an actual horn growing out of its head! It was really ugly. I think it was located in Ireland?? not sure.
Anyway that is the only one that I have ever seen and it could have been fake even though they claimed it wasn't.

I have an encyclopedia of horse breeds. There's a horse called the Carthusian that has boney groths on both sides of their forheads, like (bull) horns.

If you really do have a unicorn, you could go into the Guinesis book of World Records
haha.

Have you contacted your vet??

Your baby could have hit his head when being born and gotten a bump that way. A horses head expands (in form of bump) so the brain has room to expand Just like humans.
