So, where are the pictures?!? I don't think it is like that Merlin because she said the lump was hard, and Merlin's is fleshy cartalige. I guess it could be similar though.

Nope, hers doesn't have any flesh covering it... it looks just like bone.

I got brave enough and tried touching it this afternoon. It seems to be connected only in the center (the outer edges can move upwards) however she seemed quite uncomfortable with me touching it, so I didn't prod any more than that... and while it looks like bone from a distance, up close it almost looks more spongy.

We had a mega rain storm, too... so I wasn't able to get pictures!

And incase anyone doesn't know, it is not MY foal... its a foal on the farm where I work, so I'm not authorized to call the vet... if the owners feel the need, they will.

I wasn't able to get pictures... my cameras are both dying, however my boss said he took pictures and will send them to me (though, he is very forgetful, so don't get too excited).

Also, we have the vet coming out to do gelding on Thursday, so the foal will be looked at then... and I will let you know what he says!
