Our First Time Polebending! ^Picture^

I took Cody down to Whitney Pt. over the week-end for a barrel race (and some exposure for him to sell!) and I found out they had a game show later that day, so we hung around and competed in keyhole, bleeding heart, dash4cash, cloverleaf and poles. I never did poles with him before, and we got 24.36 seconds!! and we got some interest too! I'm soooo proud of him!

..........ug, please excuse my hair! lol I look awful

Very niiice!! He looks quite athletic... Gotta love the poles.. they were always my favorite. I've always hated keyhole, got the stopping part, but trying to make my mare go straight out was interesting... sounds like it was a productive weekend for you!

Yea! it was fun,I almost felt bad I'm getting out of it! he caught on to the poles fast too, I did little exhibitions and at first he kept like diving around them like barrels, but it turned out great in our run

Well, I'm going to collage, and I'm also focused more on Showing/Hunters with my appendix gelding. I tried doing both, but it was too much for me and my bank account. He's older, about 18, and really deserves someone who'll take him out every week-end or just give him more time. I'm having a real tough time selling him though, a lot of interest, but no one's come out to see him. At this point, I just want to find him a good home and I'm not concerned what I can get for him. Maybe someday I'll pick it up again, I know I'll miss him when he goes ( Cody is my first horse)

Congrats! I have been thinking about doing some speed events with my all-around gelding, but we'll see.
