| Senior Member+ | Our Dusty chosen for a clinic! I am excited...There will be a Jim Masterson Integrated Equine Massage Clinic at a nearby facility May 24-25 for a weekend seminar, and the next week is a full blown certification clinic. I submitted Dusty as a demonstration horse, and he was CHOSEN! Website: http://www.mastersonmethod.com/ I am going to attend the weekend seminar, and my hubby will take Dusty and audit the days they will need him during the week long clinic. Dusty has head shy issues and stiffness/occasional lameness, so they thought he would be perfect. Anyone been to one of these or use the methods? BonnieM

| Senior Member | That is so cool that your hrose was chosen! I always wanted my horse to be in a clinic demo but never got him accepted. We have a sports massage therapist that comes to our stable and massages our show horses and we really can see a difference after the leaves and the horses go back to normal work. |

Cool! What does she do with them, specifically? Have you watched her work? Just very curious! BonnieM

| Senior Member | I have watched her work and she did a min clinic once for the girls at the boarding school once. She would start out just reviewing the horses whole body and drawing on her chart where they are stiff or whatever and then go back over and work on those specific spots. She would also sing to the horses and it is pretty comical sometimes. It takes her about an hour and a half to do each horse and she recommends not riding the horse for a day so it can settle. |

| Senior Member+ | Interesting! I had read on the Masterson website that they recommend the day of rest after the massage. I TALK to my guys all the time, but hadn't subjected them to my singing, ha. I am anxious for the workshop. Thanks for your input/experience. BonnieM
