Talking Our Auction Rescue

Meet Cracker Jack, he's 20 years old and we bought him at the Round Mountain (Texas) auction a month ago for $50.00

This is what he looked like when we bought him

And this is him 4 weeks later (he still has a way to go, but I see huge improvements in him daily). All it took was FEED, the lady who had him didn't realize he wasn't eating the coastal out of the field he was in. He chews it and spits it out. He eats approx. 18-20 lbs. of a great Senior Feed a day.

Thanks! I just wish we could get nutrition information out to all horse owners. It seems most of the ones that end up poor is lack of knowledge. It gets so aggrevating.

Last weekend, we picked up this girl... for $50.00 as well, she's 28 and was a roping horse all her life. They had kids riding her when we bought her. She will never have to work again, just get fat and sassy

If you get sick of my pictures, just let me know. lol

Thanks for the welcome!

awww thanks everyone! They make me happy! I have way too many equine, but they are all special in their own way. We hope to have the palomino appy in fit shape by November, and my grandson is going to show him in leadline at a little local show. I think he was a show horse in his previous life, he sets up perfect for halter, etc.

It's just a little bit we can give back for all they have given us over the years.

Now, someone want to buy some Welsh ponies so we can have a few less equine? lol

That is sooo terrific! I'm not sure what state you're in, but in a thread posted here earlier, there was horse that needed adoption and she's sickly. Here's the site for her. I'm not sure if she's been adopted out yet or not...
you sound like a good person to get her....
