My girlfriend is extremely interested in Phenomena. She is looking for a TB now, and a tall grey TB is her dream horse (in her own words).

Unfortunately when I sent her the info on him, she was leaving in the early morning for holidays and could not go see him at the track...she lives in Edmonton. I believe she returns on Aug. 24, but I doubt he would be around until then.

Too bad, because I think he would be perfect.

Mabey ask if the owner can wait, If your friend thinks its a sure thing she would get the horse.

I agree. What a shame it would be to see them go to slaughter, euthanized or even go to the chucks (IMO). These horses deserve so much more than what they have been dealt by this greedy owner who is unethical and not placing any value on these horses lives.

Why he is willing to send horses to the kill pen for dirt cheap meat price, rather than let one go for anything under his "firm" $2000 in the market we have now infuriates me. People like this should not be in the horse business.

If you have a couple spots for "emergencies", could this not account for one if it came to it?

This would count as an emergency, but $ 2000 buys an aweful lot of feed and horses. If I spent my funds on one horse and called my hay supplier and said I can't purchase my hay, I'm pretty sure I'd get jumped on by a whole lot of people.

I'm doing the best I can. I can call the owner tomorrow and pursuade him to hang on till your friend gets back. Is there any way you or your friend can call me and talk about his?? By all means, if it's long distance for her, tell her to call me collect.

For some people, they want their price and that's that. Some I find are willing to budge, but others are stubborn and can't be reasoned with.

I talk to the owners everytime I get an offer. Some accept them, some flat out refuse. This is where I have migraines from banging my head against the wall.

I was left a message that another gelding is availble from the track

Kinsella Light - by Ranger out of Liquor Vendor by Chapel Creek

Dark Brown Bay gelding 2006

Has raced and placed, but now wanting to have a second career

15.3 - 16HH

$ 700 OBO

I don't have pics as the message was left on my phone tonight.

This is from a trainer that I am working very closely with as they have been known to take them to auction. The next auction is Aug 22 in Tofield. They have been very good at holding them for me either at the track or back at her farm till hauling can be arranged or the buyer can pick them up.

If anyone on her is local to me and would like to give me a hand, I sure be very greatfull.

I'll try my best to get pics, but with a 4 yr old at home, it can be a tiny bit tricky. I will call them tomorrow to see what their intentions are if he doesn't find a home by Thursday.
