Opinions on this APHA would be great! :)

I recently purchased this mare and the foal in the pictures. She's a dun, with a very small white speck on her forehead; zebra stripes, a dorsal fin, and shoulder barring. I'm registering her APHA, IBHA, & ABRA. Her sire is Fleet Commander and her dam Miss Taters Tot. I'm considering selling her as a broodmare because I don't plan on trying to break her again while I have her foal around, which I plan on keeping. She's got a great dispotition and is very willing, and her foal is an absolute sweetie so I think she'd be able to throw quite a few more nice foals and possibly pass on the dun factor again, too. Any opinions on her color, conformation, bloodlines, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you don't mean AQHA not apha... apha is american paint horse association... and I don't see any spots.

CAN she be registered? Are her parents registered? Are they still alive to do genetic testing on?

I was about to ask the same question! How do you figure to register her APHA when she is solid! Most Apha horses are registered at birth as it is EXPENSIVE to register them later in life!

Do you mean the PInTO horse association? But she isn't colored at ALL, so they won't take her anyways.

Oh not saying she isn't beautiful, she is very beautiful!

Pinto has to be a 4x5 index card full of white... so I doubt it would be pinto!

Lol time for some clarification I suppose. APHA has two sections of registry~ regular, for horses with the required markings, and breeding stock for those without. The mare's dam is a Quarter Horse mare and her sire Fleet Commander, a Paint stud. Therefore she would naturally be APHA because of her sire. It's true~ she has no natural paint markings; in fact, the only white she has is a small patch of white hairs on her face! LoL but I'm registering her Breeding stock and because she is breeding stock, it will only cost $127. The foal's sire is a Cajun bred black and white Paint, and with his mom being a soon-to-be-registered-breeding-stock, he will also be APHA. And with the lines they have on them, they are for sure going to be registered~ I'm in the process of doing it this instant in fact.
