Arrow Operation: StormyHeart Herd Dispersal

As most now know one of our members is in need and has several horses in need of homes. This thread will act as our operation herd dispersal central. I will explain our goals and the way in which we hope to go about this. We hope to keep it as clean and confusion-free as possible in order to move the horses to homes that best suit them swiftly and smoothly as well as to keep members here abreast as to all developments.

If you wish to help please follow the directions I list below to do so. Following those directions will help us, help Stormyheart most efficiently.

Our goal is to find homes for these horses and solve transport issues to those homes as simply as possible. We hope that in doing this in a three step manner we may be able to accomplish that goal.

Step 1: We will take nominations for possible homes for the horses here. If you can provide a home for one or more of the horses copy and paste the "form" below into a post on this thread, fill out the information. In the following steps we will be attempting to put together a pony train to disperse the horses to their homes. For that reason two things are important: 1) Do not allow transport to stop you from speaking up if you can provide a home. Our aim is to solve that issue for prospective owners in order to place the horses. 2) If someone has already said they can home a horse you're interested in please fill out a form anyway. We will be as fair as possible in choosing homes for the horses -- above all a good home is the goal -- but if we can coordinate homes for the horses along a similar route that will make dispersal easier, more economical and will give us a better chance at getting them all placed swiftly. If two people want the same horse, one in VA and one in WA for instance, if we have a train going east but not west it makes sense to take the horse to VA. My hope is that everyone can live with this and put the horses having homes a priority over who gets which horse.

Step 2: To be run at the same time as Step 1. If you can provide hauling help for the horses please also copy and paste and fill out the form in a post on this thread. No need to wait to see if I horse is coming your way. Simply tell us if you can haul, how many you have the capacity to haul at once and a radius of where you can haul to and from.

Step 3: For those that cannot home a horse or haul but would like to help monetarily with gas. We will aim to set up a fund for this. In the interest of simplicity and easy communication however what we would like to try is to get the homes set, get the approximate path of the train set and then give the HGS family a goal that we need to make it happen. We want you to know before you donate exactly where your money is going and what to expect. So if you want to donate, AWESOME, we love it! Put that cash in a safe pocket and watch for the fund to open!

IMPORTANT: If you would like to wish Stormyheart well or offer support please do so on her original thread. We would like to keep this one as clean and "all business" as possible in order to keep things easy to understand and wholly transparent as to what is going on with the efforts. If you just think this is awesome and want to tell me or have other comments for me, PM me!

I Can Home a Horse!

Horse(s) I Can Home: Saleena & Zeus

My Location is: McRae, Arkansas, looks to be about a 7 hour drive. I'm hoping for hauling help, though, I can't do that whole trip. I can get to Missouri, or Oklahoma, or somewhere, maybe half the distance. So, if there's someone between or around us that could help drive, FANTASTIC!!!

Great! How many horses does your trailer hold in case there are others coming your way?

Sorry, should've said that! We have a three horse stock trailer, so we can squeeze in one more. (We've only ever hauled one at a time, so, three would be interesting. )
