As to the hooves, Shelly isn't the only horse owner who can't get a farrier out their way, if you check on HC you will find many of them in arms cause they can't get a farrier in their area.

That boy looks like one chunky monkey! Kinda like my tubs! What a cutie!

Does star have a home yet? I live in the Southeastern corner of Idaho and could take her if it is closer. I have a trailer so I can come down into utah or wyoming and help with the hauling. Let me know. Thanks!

Sorry....Star has been adopted by ShezaBayDoc. Now, we just have to figure out how to get her to NC.

Ooo Dont go to Jones feed! they are way too expensive, if anything go to shasta farm and equipment or hawes. They are a little farther away but worth it.

Jones feed hated us when we had out pet store there in west wood Kiera. We carried all the high end foods etc and they got sooooo upset that we took most of their business!

We normally don't go there any more but it was his way home from the grandkids house.

Neighbor told me about where she gets her hay for 6 bucks a bale so will be trying there next!

OK...a little update on the horse rehoming situation. Blue left yesterday to go to his new home. JAhughes adopted him. She came yesterday to pick him up, and I have to say....that was a PERFECT MATCH!!! She fell in love with him immediately, and I have every reason to believe that her and Blue will have a awesome partnership for a very long time. I have never seen such joy and excitement in a womans eyes, as I saw when she finally got to hug her new boy. It was very touching to me, and makes what I do worth it.

Still working on transportation for Star tho, to get her to NC, to ShezaBayDoc. She is the LAST one to go.....last, but not least. ShezaBayDoc will be getting a very sweet mare, who will give her all day to stop loving on her and feeding her treats! LOL

BlueBoy update...... I'm in love. LOL... Hi all. Go ahead, be jealous...LOL Why?

Because I was graced to visit Shelly and her lovely farm. Driving up the winding road to her home, the herd of fat, happy horses greeted us with neighs and snorts and then they all began galloping to the house. How I wished I had a video of that.... picturesque, to say the least....

And there stood Miss Shelly and my BlueBoy... waiting patiently for me... With one look at him, I was in love. He is such a good boy...so handsome.... incredibly calm for a 2 yr old... Miss Shelly changed his bandage and showed me the steps to put it back on. His leg is healing nicely... This boy just stood there like a statue as she worked on him. Amazing!!! He's still a bit ouchy about his privates LOL...

Miss Shelly is an amazing woman..... let me say that again.... Miss Shelly is an amazing woman.... There is absolutely no doubt that she is passionate about the care and welfare of her horses.

I want to thank this Forum's members and contributors ...... Sometimes in life.... Ya gotta trust a gut feeling ..... Do the right thing...... eventhough it requires you to get out of the comfort zone of your life and stretch your limits...... We have come together and are doing the right thing to help one of our equine family.

I will post some pics of BlueBoy tomorrow... too overcast to get good ones yesterday. He was feeling good and snorting and bucking in the paddock last night...
Just like a young boy should act... all full of himself.. LOL

Yeah... be jealous LOL LOL LOL
