Open Sale Threads

I know you guys are trying your hardest to try to make things easier. But I find these open sale threads a bit on the confusing and time consuming side. Instead of having a thread authored by the person selling the item, we have these threads that have multiple items from different members and then posts made by other members in regards to the items for sale. In the end it all just becomes a muddled mess. To find out if someone is interested in your item, you have to go through the entire thread and look at all the posts left, and some of these threads have gotten quite large.

It was a nice thought to do something like this, but I believe it's honestly easier to just post up your own items in your thread. Then members can look at the titles of the threads in the Classifieds and deem what they want to look at, and what they don't want to look at. Just my thoughts.

I think they are very handy. I see people post their stuff on there all the time, but have never started their own thread. Maybe because they don't know how, who knows. I agree it does make it a mess in some ones, but i think other than that they are very convenient and easy to use.

I think that they would be much easier to use if there was no posting other than listing your items. All business should be taken care of through PMs so that the threads stay free of chatter

I agree here.

Open sale is a good idea if business is done in PM's

I agree. They should be like a classifieds newspaper listing.
I have looked at a few of the open sale threads but quickly went elsewhere because it became so confusing.

I agree with Huntseat. Only post what's for sale, PM the seller if you're interested. It is a nice way to see a bunch of say, bits, that are available, all in one place.

I agree, for awhile I was looking for a saddle but I found searcing through that thread to be quite time consuming, I'd much rather ready the titles and find what I'm looking for vs hunting in a thread. even if I do get 30 posts per page.
