Oh haha yeah that makes sense. But I don't like it because it doesn't neccesarily mean that the mares were of good quality. He could have been bred to several run of the mill mares which means that he might end up with a ton of average foals as well; when promoting a stallion, you'd want his get to be of high quality in hopes of promoting him. Poor quality offspring would not reflect highly on him.

You probably are looking at the back left? The toe looks long and the heel is low

Where is Haltergirl88 when we need her? This is a horse bred to do a specific job. His main job in life is to stand in a halter class and look glorious. It seems he is very good at his job. You can not compare him to a QH bred for pleasure. If I were wanting a horse to ride, he would not be on my list. If I wanted a horse to show in halter, he would fill the ticket.

That he is filling his stud book without advertising is a credit to this stallion. Word of mouth and show results with his get are gaining him his reputation.

I second what belle4 has to say.

OH and before everyone jumps on the wagon that a horse should not be "only" a halter horse. There are many people in the show industry that ONLY show halter. They do this becuase they either don't like to ride or they can't ride. SO these types of "halter horses" are breed for a specific purpose... just like our WP horses and English horses..... They have their own dicipline and should be respected for what they do and what they represent.

I think is he a very nice quality stud and if I did show halter, he would be on my list to look at! (exp cause the throws color that is an added bonus)

yes what belle4 said is very true but i would not justify that sort of money for a horse that just stands there he really is going to be sold for someone who likes showing an maybe even want him as a stud

That is really not a good representation of the champagne color. Also, if they are going to breed him, they really ought to get thier facts straight.

This stallion is NOT a "palomino champgne" THERE IS NO SUCH COLOR.
He is , in fact, a "gold champagne". Meaning that he carries both the chestnut gene and the champagne gene. HE WILL NEVER (and I mean NEVER) SIRE A PALOMINO BABY WITH HIS GENES ALONE. He would need to be bred to a dilute mare to produce one.

He does NOT carry the creme gene (or he would appear to be almost white with green or gold eyes and be called a "Gold Cream Champagne").
He can ONLY produce all the 'normal colors' or all the 'normal colors' with Champgane on top (ie. classic, amber, sable or gold champagne).

And I LOVE the champagne colors! You really have to see them in person to appreciate them . It is hard to capture the beauty and sheen by camera.

Here are a couple of pics of my Classic Champagne TWH mare "Queen".

Very well put Belle4 Personally I dont care for him at all, especially the coloring. As for his price, that's about average for a decent halter stud.Another thing, the ad makes a big deal about him winning 7th at the world show, but that was only out of 8!! Not so great when you know that! And it wasn't in the regular open division, it was the select division, which doesnt usually garner the best horses being shown.
