One Day Event results and pictures

*yay* im so happy. minnie was such a good girl! ok....

well on saturday i did a ODE. (i eneterd the novice - 3 foot) when we arrived the weather wasnt too bad, but as soon as i got on to warm up for the dressage, the heavens opened and it absolutly TIPPED it down. i got SOAKED. i went in to do my dressage (which was very slippy, lucky minnie had studs in) and minnie did a good test bless her. (i know she didnt go ASWELL as she can, but it was a decent rythmic test) i was really pleased with her. after the dressage we were lying 6th on a penulty score of 35.7 out of about 60 horses and ponies.

i then went and warmed up for the SJ and again. it was raining SO HARD! the course was really slippy so i had to take it steady. i needed to keep her inbetween my leg and hand, and really bring her back around the corners. she was listning to me so well. and we went clear.

then we headed down to the XC course, and i kid you not, it started raining harder! by this time me and minnie were absolutly DRENCHED....the wasnt a dry patch on us. i warmed up fine and went off to do the course. she was so amazing. i couldnt really gallop her because of the ground (it was just like wet mud) so i took it at a steady forward canter and she jumped everything like it was nothing. she was so good. we went clear.
after all three phases we ended up in 5th pace!!! i am so proud of min!!!

here are some photos from the dressage and XC (sorry none from the SJ) that is the water jump in the XC.....and LOOK how wet we are!!! minnie is meant to be a LIGHT bay...we were so drenched. but she was such a good girl! (BTW...in the dressage photos, in the 6th one, im leaning over to pat her at the end! lol looks really wierd!)

Minnie looks glorious! Congratulations. You two are THE team to watch. Minnie always looks so put together. Some rider you must be.

Congratulations!!! That's really exciting! The pictures look great! I love the last X-Country pic. I'm hoping to start Legend in eventing next year after we do some hunter/jumper shows this year. BTW - I have those same boots...LOL!
