One better then the other? *Electric Fence*

I am going to be replacing our electric fence either this year or spring. I think Trouble Maker when through the fence because she couldnt see it (Even with a pink ribbon on it. ) Right now Im figuring up appox how much I need and how much its going to cost me.

Well I was searching the rural king site. They have two types of electric tape.
One that is 1/2 inch wide, and one that is 1 1/2" wide. Is one better then the other? I'd think the larger one would be alot easier to see so I'll probably go with that one but what are your thoughts on them?

The 1.5" Tape I got from these guys is the best I have tried. Horseguard Fence : the best electric fence for Horse

All the others I've picked up at various farm supply stores have needed repairs.

The houseguard fence lines have been up for 2 years now and look great.

Thanks, that fence is expensive!
At rural king If I did my math right, I'll only need 2 rolls, which would be around 105.00 To fence in 1250feet. (I have 3 rows of fence)

Approx total cost is $138.36 (Insulators & Fence. Excluding posts because I already have them.)

I just put up some of the 1 1/2" stuff. I think it looks great and the horse's see it. The draw back is that it's expensive. An 800ft. roll costs about $100 My other concern with it is that (what i bought) is all white. What happens in the winter when the snows is blowing around?

OH that is a good point!!!!!!! Hmmm Maybe I'll should just tie lots of pink ribbons on the fence instead of replacing it....That might be the best way to go because I had never thought about the white tape, and snow....

Thanks!!
