OMG! THIS IS UNREAL! Dog hit by car!

Okay, most of you know about the dog we found that got hit by a car, well GUESS WHAT!? today there is a new mom and daughter that got a new horse at the ranch and stuff!! Which is a stable where we board! WELL!! We think that they are the owners of the dog!! AH! Its the same name and same street that the person lives on and everything! Im like going crazy here! And its..still all up in the air about if they want the dog or not!! If they are boarding a horse you would think that they would have money for a dog? BUT then again that might be why the have no money. Is that weird or WHAT?!?! I think so! and guess what..omg.. the vet bill has added up to 800!! and we have paid 500 already! Im scared that if they dont want the dog..that then my parents wont be able to afford it either.. I dont want them to put it to sleep..

If you can prove ownership, they are stuck with the bill.

Depends. Many states will not hold the owner responsible if they don't authorize the vet care BEFORE it happens.... many vets will only stablize strays unless the "good samartin" will sign for the cost. AND, owners are not obligated to pay back any costs that the good samaratin pay for the dog either.... (even tho its the MORALLY right thing to do... IMHO anyway)
