Angry OMG, the "dressage" saddle lady e mailed me... OMG

So I had called the lady over two weeks ago and told her that to me it didn't look like a dressage saddle, more like a close contact or an all-purpose but at any rate, I didn't want it so I'd like to get it back. Simple, right? Right. I didn't hear from her for two and a half weeks. I e mailed, called her cell and her home number every single day and left messages and today, two and a half weeks later I get this e mail from her:

Kristie --
>
>I didn't mind wasting time and money to drop off the Wintec once, but I
>was so frustrated when you insisted it was a close-contact jumping
>saddle (it is NOT: I suppose one could jump in it, although the long
>panels and deep seat should make it obvious that it is not designed for
>such a purpose) that I am unwilling to rearrange my schedule to do so
>again. I lost several serious buyers while trying to arrange to drop off
>the saddle for the first time.
>
>I have not cashed your father's check and will not since you are
>obviously not the right fit for this saddle.
>
>I've been insanely busy with moving to the farm and haven't had the time
>to again drive far out of my way at an inconvenient time. I am in class
>all week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to meet me in a place
>convenient to me (i.e., within a 20 mile radius of Buffalo) after 6 p.m.
>this week, I could do so. My housemate Tracy will be home most of the
>week except tomorrow afternoon: you may feel free to leave it at my
>place here as well.
>
>Tammy

Now, I understand that she's been busy... arn't we all. But she's p*issed off at ME for thinking it didn't look much like a dressage saddle and therefore didn't want to contact me... and she's p*issed off at ME for her loosing other sales because I had it. Well SOOOOOOOORY that I was desperatly trying to get ahold of her and get it back to her, but she never contacted me!! This really makes me mad.

So she is mad at YOU for trying to call her cell, her home phone, and email EVERY DAY for two weeks?! Its like you are darned if you do and darned if you don't!!! Trying to blame YOU for her problem! I bet she didn't even have any buyers. She is just trying to make you feel guilty enough to keep it!

I would point that out to her, that you tried to get a hold of her and that it is certainly not your fault that she is too busy to call you back.

When she dropped off the saddle, what arrangements did you make for pickup if the saddle didn't work for you? Apparently, she doesn't understand what the words "trial period" mean!!

You might also want to mention that 1) saddle "experts" have all told you that it is a ap and not a dressage saddle; 2) you only had the saddle for a trail period to test it out, and that with that understanding there was a possiblity that you would need to take it back; and 3) I would try to find some pictures of that saddle for comparision and send it to her.

It sounds more like she is mad that she dropped it off for you and now you want her to pick it up. If you wanted to look at the saddle you should have gone to look at it. and now that you dont want it you should bring it back. Cant call up WalMart and tell them you dont like the shampoo you bought and they should come get it.

I just e mailed her right back and told her that I DID try to get ahold of her and she knows it, and that it's her issue that she didn't get ahold of me therefore didn't get the saddle back, not mine.

Here's what our pick up/drop off arrangment was. She told me before that every monday evening she goes to Coon Rapids. Fine, every monday evening my dad is driving through Coon Rapids to get home. So they meet monday evening, I try it out during that week, and if it doesn't work out next monday evening she picks it up again... I thought this was really convenient because she said she goes to Coon Rapids monday evenings anyhow. Well, I really did try to get it back to her but she didn't want to call me because I told her the saddle didn't look like a dressage saddle. (boo hoo) Apparently now she's "wasting lots of time and money" to get to Coon Rapids... when before it was "totally convenient".

For the record (and you can show her too) this is a wintec close contact. They only make two different cc saddles.
This is the dressage saddle. All look like this.
And this is the All Purpose, what you seem to have (just a different version.)

What it comes down to is that the saddle was MISREPRESENTED! If it's not a dressage saddle and she sold it as a dressage saddle she should make her way to you to pick it back up and refund your money!
