I am so sorry this is happening

a couple of years ago I lost two babies 1 mini born too early and the other a beautiful paint colt - the mom got sick and they gave her meds not knowing she was in foal, so he never really stood a chance of lasting very long, and died at about 5 days old

So I do feel your pain - I hope the mare pulls through ok

I am so sorry to hear this. I truely hope your mare pulls through this - she is obviously a fighter so stands a good chance with the right help. My thoughts are with you.

I really hope that she is able to get her mare induced and get the fetus out of there. In this case, inducing is the best option in my opinion

Since we haven't heard anymore from her, hopefully she has trailored her up and taken her to a good Equine Vet.

Katylynn, I would be more than happy to help you get her up to Rosebud to the equine vet up there. I'm not too sure where you live, but, I've heard good things about that vet, and I know Katylynn needs every chance she can get.

Can they induce when the foal isn't in a straight-on position? It's neck is twisted and bent, it would come out wrong.

Poor Katylynn. Oh my gosh, that is so sad.

I feel so bad that katylyn or anybody would have to go through so much with their mare/ or any animal . I hope that some solution can be found and resolved for this mare and owner. Hugs and prayers for the mare and Katylyn.
